COLA -- Contact your legislators!

Educators haven't received a cost of living adjustment for 5 years! Don't make this year the 6th year! Call, write/email your legislators and let them know you deserve a COLA! Call 1-800-562-6000 or visit www.OurVoiceWashingtonEA.org.

PIT Time

A joint HEA/HSD communication was sent to help clarify this piece of our TRI package. It is clear that there is a wide range of implementation at our schools. The joint bargaining teams collaborated on this concept and are invested in supporting its implementation. Please write your comments/concerns around PIT Time to your HEA building representative.

Contract Waiver Timeline
HEA Building representatives have received training on our contract waiver process. If your school staff would like to submit a contract waiver for 2014-15 school year, the request must be submitted prior to May 19. Staff from your school will present to the HEA Executive Board for recommendation. If there is a recommendation to approve the waiver, the HEA Representative Council makes the final recommendation. See your HEA Building Representative if you have questions.
