HEA Letter to SeaTac City Council
We have students and families that need our support!

At the HSD school board meeting on March 6, our HSD School Board was asked to write a letter of support to the SeaTac City Council for our families who are residents of the Firs Homeowners Association. The families of at least 100 students in the Tyee Service Area have been in a struggle to keep their homes. They have organized and with the help of the Tenants Union, they will be meeting with the city of SeaTac to discuss possible solutions for the residents to remain in their homes within the Firs Mobile Home Park. Our HSD School Board voted and is issuing a letter of support for these families to the SeaTac City Council.

HEA members are invited to sign on to our HEA letter to the SeaTac City Council to support our students and families. Please read the letter here, and sign our HEA Letter to SeaTac City Council.

Are You a WEA-PAC Member?
WEA-PAC recommends and elects pro-student, pro-union candidates -- regardless of party affiliation. Candidates complete a written questionnaire and participate in an interview with WEA-PAC members. Based on the questionnaire and interview, WEA-PAC members make a recommendation.

Together, we can help pro-education candidates win the elected offices that affect our work and help our students!  Now is a great time to join WEA-PAC. You can join online.
