Tell legislators: Support our students & restore school levy flexibility!

Restoring local school levy flexiblity is a top priority for Washington educators and public school supporters. When legislators voted to restrict local levies as part of the McCleary school funding package, they went too far and severely limited our ability to meet students' needs beyond state-funded basic education.

Local voter-approved school levies fund additional teachers, librarians, school nurses, early learning, music, art and many other student needs.

Email your legislators and Gov. Inslee and urge them to restore levy flexibility and to trust local voters, educators and school boards to make the best decisions for our students. Thankfully, the amended Senate levy bill that educators opposed appears to be dead. Now we need the Legislature to approve the House's version of levy legislation, House Bill 2140.
