Dear Supporter,

Highline Education Association and Highline School District Bargaining Teams reached a Tentative Agreement on wages and working conditions for the 2022-24 school years! Check your home email for the zoom registration link. The automated zoom invite contains the registration link. Plesae complete that link in order to receive the meeting link. HEA GMM is scheduled for Thursday, June 30 at 5:00 PM. This meeting is set up as a webinar with the link opening at 4:30 PM. 


You MUST be signed in with your FIRST AND LAST NAME. This is a members-only meeting and we will double check your name against our membership roster. If your name does not show correctly on Zoom, we will not know who you are, and we may not be able to let you stay in the meeting. Your display name must be changed BEFORE signing into the meeting. Click HERE for instructions on how to change your display name on the Zoom website.  If you have issues with your display name at the time of the event, please email Amanda Stanley.

We strongly prefer that you attend on a computer and not by calling in on your phone. If you must use the call-in feature for accessibility reasons, please email Amanda Stanley as soon as possible BEFORE the meeting with your name and the phone number you will be using to call into the meeting.

Our bargainers will serve as panelists and will be answering your questions through the Q&A function.  The chat will be used for the speaking order so that once the motion to approve the agreement is made, members will engage in debate. Tentative agreement documents and details on how to participate in the debate will be shared via email on Thursday as well as explained during the meeting.

  • Please do not forward your link to others, as each member needs their own personal link to join.  If two members enter using the same name, both will be removed.  If that happens, please email Amanda Stanley with your name and personal email in order to be re-entered into the meeting.
  • Waiting room opens at 4:30 PM. Please sign on by 4:30 PM so that we can start the meeting on time !

P.S. VEBA Reminder: As a reminder, the HEA Rep Council voted to bring the topic of renewing our VEBA deductions to a general membership meeting this summer. On June 30, we will vote on ratifying the CBA and also vote on VEBA Reauthorization. Should a member bring forward a motion to alter our current VEBA decductions, this will be presented in advance of the VEBA Reauthorization vote. Please email Sandy Hunt in advance if that business needs to be added to our agenda.
