Make Monroe Schools Safe for All Students - remove Blasko
Monroe's community agrees that every student, whether they’re Black, white or Brown, rich or poor, LGBTQIA+, or with disabilities, deserves a public education that is safe and respectful. Monroe schools have become more and more hostile for students of color, female students, students with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ students and Superintendent Justin Blasko has refused to take action to improve the culture and climate in our schools. The district has done a study - now it's time to act. Monroe students, families, and educators are joining together to demand real change in our schools including immediate, meaningful and ongoing training for staff and students. Real change and healing can only happen if we remove Superintendent Blasko. When we stand together, we have the power to make our schools places where every student feels safe and welcomed. Join us in calling on the Monroe school board to take action.
Please make sure to add to this editable letter whether you're a student, educator, or family member of Monroe schools! Your letter will be sent to all five Monroe School Board members.
