Keep Marysville schools safe for LGBTQIA+ students
All students need to feel safe and supported at school. This is particularly true for LGBTQIA+ youth who are more likely to face discrimination, violence, or emotional abuse at home. The difficulties these youth face in finding support and community have led to a nationwide surge of nearly half of LGBTQIA+ youth attempting suicide or facing mental health crises.
Groups that provide safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ youth to be who they are and find support from eachother are critical to making these youth feel recognized, validated, and whole without judgement of others.
Join us in sending an email to the members of the Marysville School Board telling them to welcome and value all students and honor their need for safety.
